Thanks to Ms. Lucille Smith and Ms. Kim Pritchard, for starting a program in conjuction with the Kiwanis of Sylvester, that recognizes good behavior in kids in the Second Grade.

“TERRIFIC KIDS”

Worth County Primary in partnership with our local Kiwanis Club is gearing up for their first year of the “Terrific Kids” program. On Friday, September 5, 2008 Worth County Primary School hosted their first “Terrific Kids” breakfast at 7:30 a.m. in the Art Room.

WCPS is very proud to announce that our “Terrific Kids” for August were Jada Williams of Ms. Raetzel’s class, Hannah McCleod of Mrs. Clements’ class, Dalton Shiver of Ms. Majeski’s class, Travis Webb of Mrs. Fletcher’s class, and Hannah Patterson of Mrs. Isert’s class. Each student was presented with a T-shirt that states “I’m a Terrific Kid at WCPS,” a pin, and a “Certificate” signed by a Kiwanis Club member and the principal, Mrs. Lucille Smith.

Each student and their parents received an invitation to attend the breakfast. Also in attendance were Worth County School Superintendent Jim McMickin; Worth County Board of Education Chairman Butch Jenkins; Kiwanis Club members Lee Thomas, Jamie Pritchard, and Bob Monk; WCPS Principal Lucille Smith; Chairpersons of the Terrific Kids Committee Kim Pritchard and Maria Bennett; and member Kristin Sickling.

Each month five designated second grade teachers will choose a student that has shown exemplary behavior and citizenship. By the end of the school year, each second grade teacher will have chosen three students.

What a source of great pride for Worth County!
Thanks to all involved.
